First thing that you need to have is VM Workstation setup on your system. Installing VM Ware is nothing but click click click..
1. Go to setup.exe
2. Double click (Make sure you have admin access)
3. Follow on the screen instructions on Installation Wizard
4. It should finish without any issue. But I have seen some issues while installing VM Wareworkstation on Windows 8 and 8.1
5. Check the installation logs if installation fails for any reason. If you are unable to determine the cause of issue – figure out the error number from the logs and search it. You are not the only one in the world who is facing issues. Its important that you must research on your own.
So, once this VM Warework station is installed, create a VM Machine for practice. Below configuration should be good enough for Lesson1 – Lesson 30.
RAM – 2+ GBs
Disk Space – 25+ GBs
Network – Bridge
OS – Windows Server 2008 R2
Installing Windows takes good amount of time, so its better to clone it before starting your research.
For Cloning, after successful installation shutdown the VM Machine. Right click on VM Machine name in left panel. Go to Manage > Clone. Follow on the screen instructions after it. Keep couple of clone for future.
Lets start the real work.
